Policies
Overview
The pages in this section contain the statutory trust-wide policies and important policies which provide information about how we operate and manage our organisation effectively and efficiently.
This is not an exhaustive list of policies. Please get in touch with us if you have a query about our policy framework.
Our schools also have a list of school-specific policies, which can be found on their websites and which are in accordance with the policy schedule of our Scheme of Delegation.
Admissions
The 2025-26 and 2026-27 ONE Trust Admissions overarching policies can be found below. However, please visit the individual school websites for their school-specific Early Years Admissions Policies along with the associated information regarding the in-year application process.
In-Year Applications
To apply for a place in Reception to Year 6 during the school year, please see the Admissions Policy. For In-Year transfers, please visit the Newcastle City Council website by following this link: Newcastle City Council School Admissions or ring the Family Information Service on 0191 277 4133.
Appeals Timetable
Timetable for reception or transfer places in middle, secondary and high schools
For reception or transfer appeals for places in September, you will have at least 20 school days to submit an appeal from the day you received notice that your application was unsuccessful.
The deadlines for submitting an appeal in order to ensure that it is heard before the end of the summer term are:
- Transfer place - 31 March 2025
- Reception place - 2 June 2025
Appeals submitted within the deadlines will be heard within 40 school days of these dates. You can submit an appeal after these dates but it may not be possible to hear your case until after the summer holiday. Then it will be considered after the panel has already heard any appeals which were submitted within deadline.
Where possible appeals arising from late applications will be heard within 40 school days of this deadline or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
Appeals submitted after the deadline will be heard within 40 school days of receipt where possible.
In-year appeals
Appeals for in year admissions will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.

How to raise an objection to the school Admission Policy
There is a right for people to object to the policy to the Schools Adjudicator (OSA). See the Schools Adjudicator website<https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/office-of-the-schools-adjudicator> for more information on how to do this.
Objections for the admissions arrangements for 2025/26 must be made by 15 May 2025.
